You are cordially invited to join Kate (Babbity Kate on TikTok and YouTube) and for an evening in beautiful historic Colonial Williamsburg.
The evening begins with a candle-lit seated dinner in the elegant King's Arms Tavern. Choose from the "fine sallet" prepared in 1720s style or the tavern's signature Peanut Soupe. Then enjoy an entree "inspired by colonial recipes and refined for modern palates," served with warm Sally Lunn bread and seasonal garden offerings. Finish the evening with one of the Tavern's timeless desserts. During this leisurely two-hour dining experience, enjoy the authentic atmosphere of Colonial Williamsburg’s premiere restored tavern, including live performances of traditional music and attentive service by staff dressed in period attire.
Two prix-fixe menus are available, as well as a "Young Patriot" option for guests 10 and under. Tax and gratuity are all included in your reservation fee. Alcoholic beverages are available for additional individual purchase, including selections from the wine cellar, draught beer, and 18th century-inspired cocktails and punch.
After dinner, take a short evening walk through the restored town to take part in CW's Dancing at the Governor's Palace special event. Costumed interpreters will discuss various types of 18th-century dances, from country dances to minuets, and demonstrate them for the audience. At various intervals throughout the program, you will be asked if you wish to participate in the fun.
All guests will enjoy a chance to meet other history enthusiasts, including Babbity Kate. This special evening will include plenty of opportunities for picture-taking and socializing. All participants in this delightful evening will receive a special Felicity-inspired gift from Kate as a favor.
Admission to Colonial Williamsburg is not needed for this event. (Your event ticket will admit you to the Governor's Palace.)
AG-inspired outfits, "history-bounding," or full costumes are welcome. Dolls are welcome, but you may wish to leave them behind for this event to participate more easily.
